Heritage Square Museum is a Los Angeles treasure. Located along the Arroyo Seco in Lincoln Heights, Heritage Square features eight historic structures that were constructed in the Victorian Era. Through the ongoing restoration of these buildings, this living history museum strives to fulfill its mission, which is “to preserve, collect, and interpret the architecture, physical environment, and culture of Southern California during the first 100 years of statehood, (1850 to 1950).” A variety of examples of the architecture of the period, from simple homes to opulent mansions, are on display. In addition to family residences, there is a church, a carriage barn, and the recreation of a corner drugstore, complete with vintage soda fountain.

On Saturday, June 21st, the LA 3-D Club will gather for an outing to Heritage Square Museum. We will gather at the Palms Depot at 11:30pm and join the 12:00pm guided tour, which allows entry into some of the buildings. Following the tour, we can stroll around the period appropriate landscapes grounds to take 3-D photos. (Indoor photography is not permitted).

Admission for current LA 3-D Club members who RSVP by 12pm 6/14/14 will be FREE. For non-members and non-RSVPs, the fee is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors.

Heritage Square Museum is located at 3800 Homer Street, Los Angeles, 90031 off of the 110 Freeway just north of Dodger Stadium and Downtown. Parking is free. Public transportation is also an option as the Heritage Square/The Arroyo Metro Gold Line station is within walking distance of the museum.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP no later than June 14th.
