The January meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on Thursday, January 18th from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at the Velaslavasay Panorama, 1122 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007
The evening will include the 3rd competition of the LA 3-D Club year. The special theme for this month is SUNLIGHT. Club members may enter their images into the competition by using the UPLOADER which will be available online until 11:59pm on Jan 17th.
The evening will also feature a presentation from 3-D producer and stereographer Bruce Austin on the use of stereoscopic video in the field of medical education.
Bruce will show how 3-D offers the Medical Profession a new approach to conferences and education. He will show a recently produced 3-D cadaver presentation, and discuss cameras use for shooting close-up stereo, including the Panasonic 3DP1, Sony TD300, Panasonic Z10000, JVC Camcorder, and Apple 15 Pro Max, which will all be on display at the meeting. Bruce will also demonstrate the editing techniques for post-processing – mainly Davinci Resolve Studio using an M1 Mac. And we will learn about various presentation tools – projection, 3D TVs, VR, and tablets.
