While we hope to be able to meet in person again very soon, we are currently holding virtual meetings.
The July virtual meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on Thursday, July 15 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on Zoom at la3d.club.
The meeting will begin with the membership voting on a new slate of club officers for 2021-2022. Here is our slate of candidates for officers for the next term of the LA3D Club year:

- Treasurer- Ed Ogawa
The centerpiece of the July meeting will be our annual “Image of the Year” show and awards presentation. We’ll find out who had the highest cumulative point totals for our five bi-monthly competitions, and then we’ll see all the entries and results of the Image of the Year competition. This year, without David Kuntz and Carl Wilson in mix, there are some new names and plenty of surprises. Don’t miss it!
Our guest speaker for the meeting is stereo viewer collector Keita Wangari. Keita will talk about how she got started collecting, show some of her rarest items, demonstrate how she documents her collection, and tell some interesting collecting stories.
“My love of vintage 3D viewers started when I stumbled across a Tru-Vue viewer in an antique shop in 2017 and I’ve since amassed hundreds of stereoscopes from all over the world, mostly from the mid-century time period (1935–1965). I’m particularly fond of any stereoscopes that are branded, foldable/expandable, cardboard, or that use filmstrips. In addition to the hunt for rare viewers, I spend a lot of time researching their history and documenting my collection in photos. My non-3D time is spent with my family and working as a User Experience Researcher in Silicon Valley.”

The meeting will conclude with a club member “Show-and-Tell.” We would love to see your favorite 3-D image, camera, or collectible. Members are encouraged to share an item of interest with the rest of the attendees.
