LA 3-D Club at LA Maker Faire

LA 3-D Club Will Present at Maker Faire Los Angeles

Anna Berezin working LA 3-D Club Display – OC Maker Faire
After the resounding success of the OC (Orange County) Maker Faire for our club, we were invited to participate in the LA Maker Faire in partnership with the City of STEM. Maker Faire is sort of a grown-up science fair or a “nerd” Burning Man. Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events. This year the Faire will be at Los Angeles State Historic Park Saturday, April 1, 2023. Information about the event is online at the main City of STEM website cityofstem.org and the LA Maker Faire website losangeles.makerfaire.com
Steve and Anna Berezin will again be spearheading the effort. Jim Payne will be displaying his 2 x 2 x 2 dis-
play which includes 2 x 2 stereo slides taken in peoples living rooms over a period of 40 years. Club president,
Andrew Parke, and other LA 3-D Club members will be participating as well. We will be displaying the club
sequential viewers and showing some Stereocards. Also, we will be giving demonstrations of how to make 3D
images using the camera on your smart phone.
“From tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers, Maker Faire is the event
where novices and experts of all ages come together to show what they’ve made and share what they’ve
learned. A community built on curiosity, collaboration, and resourcefulness.”
