The November meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on Thursday, November 16th from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at the Velaslavasay Panorama, 1122 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007
The evening will include the 2nd competition of the LA 3-D Club year. The special theme for this month is AUTUMN. Club members may enter their images into the competition by using the UPLOADER which will be available online until 11:59pm on Nov 15th.
The evening will also feature two award winning shows from the 3D-Con 2023 3-D Theater:
Precarious Perches by Mark Willke, winner of the award for Best Slideshow Presentation Of New Or Historical Photography. This show features a sequence of scenes from vintage stereo view cards showing people risking their lives posing in dangerous places.
The Wanderers by Christopher Schneberger, winner of the Paul Wing Award For Best In Show. The Wanderers depicts a band of young explorers traversing a midwestern farmscape. The images deal with themes of feeling lost and finding one’s way.
The meeting will conclude with a club member “Show-and-Tell.” We would love to see your favorite 3-D images and collectibles. Members are encouraged to share an item of interest with the rest of the attendees. Share you favorite photos, videos, and 3-D items.
