September meeting 9/15

The next regular meeting of the Los Angeles 3-D Club (SCSC) will be Thursday, September 15th, 2011

7:30-10pm at the Armory Center For the Arts 145 N. Raymond, Pasadena, CA 91103.

First Club Competition of the member year!

The September LA 3D Club meeting is the first Competition to which you can submit new images, film or digital, for our Club Competition year. For the September Competition, any of the three images you enter may be submitted for the Theme award, a separate award ribbon that will be granted to the best image illustrating the theme of “Puzzle”. Your “Puzzle Theme” score(s) will also count normally toward your point totals

September Meeting Program notes from Program Director David Kuntz:

One of the things that impressed me about the recent National Stereoscopic Association convention in Loveland, CO, was the diverse range of activities that were available to attendees. Amongst these were stereo theater shows, workshops, outings, and special interest group meetings. I came away from the convention excited and energized, and I’d like to try to inject some of that into our own monthly Club meetings specifically by including a wider range of activities in our programs. For example, in addition to the first competition of the 2011-12 Club year, the September meeting will include a mini-workshop on producing titles using StereoPhoto Maker, hosted by David Richardson. I plan on scheduling other program events that will give our members the opportunity to learn more about 3D techniques, as well as share their own work and expertise with others, throughout the year.

The meeting is free, and open to the public.
