Due to the worldwide public health emergency, upcoming physical meetings of the LA 3-D Club have been suspended. However, we are holding virtual meetings and we’re still holding our scheduled competitions.
The August virtual meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on August 20 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. la3d.club
The LA 3-D Club was founded in the Summer of 1955 and is celebrating its 65th birthday in 2020!
We’ll begin the online party with the annual “Image of the Year” show and awards presentation.
The meeting will feature a club member “Show-and-Tell.” We would love to see your favorite 3-D images and items that represent your favorite memories of the club. Share your stories and photos of the Stereo Club of Southern California.
And we’ll take a look at some of the historical documents, pictures, and movies from the club’s past and learn about the long history of 3-D photography in Los Angeles.
And we’ll close out the birthday party with a special screening of the 3-D and colorized conversion of the famous “clock” scene from the classic silent film comedy Safety Last, starring original Stereo Club of Southern California member Harold Lloyd!
