Club Outing: Galapogos 3D: Nature’s Wonderland in IMAX Saturday 2/7/15
Join the LA 3-D Club for an outing to see Galapogos 3D: Nature’s Wonderland in IMAX 3-D at the California Science Center on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:30pm.
Explore a paradise unlike any other, with the breathtaking film Galapagos 3D: Nature’s Wonderland. Located close to the equator in the Pacific Ocean, these remarkable volcanic islands are home to some of nature’s most incredible living creatures.
Giant half-ton long-necked tortoises lumber among dancing blue-footed boobies and flightless cormorants. Small penguins living thousands of miles from their natural habitats share the seas with unique marine iguanas that spit sea-salt. Developed over millions of years in relative isolation, the Galapagos archipelago is a living museum of nature, with an abundance of species of plants and animals that have adapted to thrive in this challenging environment. Come experience this incredible story of discovery, of survival against the odds, and of nature’s ingenuity.
We plan to meet in front of the IMAX theater at 2:00pm to purchase tickets. The film runs approximately 45 minutes.
