Club Outing to Stalingrad in 3D IMAX, 3/1/14 – UPDATE

Stalingrad is a 2013 Russian 3-D war drama set during one of the most important battles of World War II. The visually stunning film focuses on a band of Russian soldiers fighting to hold a strategic building in their devastated city against a ruthless German army. In the process, they become deeply connected to two Russian women who have been living there. Stalingrad is the first Russian movie completely produced in 3-D and is the first Russian film to be released in IMAX. The movie has been a commercial success in Russia, China, Poland, and the Ukraine and has now become the top-grossing film of all time in Russia. Stalingrad opens in the US in on February 28th and will play in IMAX theaters for one week only.

We will have a Club Outing to see Stalingrad in 3D IMAX on March 1st. LA 3-D Club member Céline Tricart, who worked as a 3-D Rig Technician on the film, stereographer Matthew Blute, and various other crew members will be in attendance and available for discussion after the screening. Please join us for this unique opportunity to see this limited-release movie in 3D IMAX with several member of the 3-D crew.
