The next regular meeting of the LA 3-D Club will be Thursday, July 16th, 7:15-9:45pm at the at the Armory Center For the Arts, 134 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena, CA.July 2015 marks the LA 3-D Club’s 60th birthday! The LA 3-D Club was established in the Greater Los Angeles area in 1955 by a dedicated group of 3-D stereo photographers to further the art and science of stereoscopic photography. For six decades members have been meeting monthly to share images created through stereoscopic photography, computer generated imagery, and film and video.
- The program for the evening will open with a historical 3-D slideshow looking back at the early days of the Stereo Club of Southern California.
- This will be followed by selections of short 3-D films from the club’s movie division in the 1980s and 90s.
- The evening will close with a screening of past award winning films from the club’s annual LA 3-D Movie Festival, now going into its 12th year.
Come celebrate 60 years of 3-D at the LA 3-D Club meeting on Thursday, July 16, 7:15-9:45pm at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena. The meeting is free and open to the public.
