The June meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on Thursday, June 20 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at the Velaslavasay Panorama, 1122 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007
The June LA 3D Club meeting will focus on the latest trends and technology in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality. Bring your VR headset – whether it’s a Meta Quest 1, 2, or 3, an Apple Vision Pro, a Pico VR, Bigscreen VR, or even an older Oculus Go or GearVR and share your favorite immersive apps with the club.
Our special guest presenter this month is Immersive Storyteller, Teacher, and Tech Journalist Al Caudullo. Al has utilized his 40 years of video production experience as a foundation for immersive image capture and storytelling. Currently based in Thailand, his in-demand creative production adventures have taken him around the world to the farthest reaches. The Gobi Desert, Mongolia, China, Europe, Australia, and the USA are some places he has been called on to design and create innovative immersive productions. in 2019 he spoke and taught at 20+ workshops or seminars teaching VR Video Content Creation. After mastering 3D production techniques, Caudullo created and taught Asia’s first 3D production class at Mahidol University, Bangkok. In addition to training, Caudullo uses his vast 3D know-how to consult major industry players on advancing their 3D hardware and software tools. As principal of Al Caudullo Productions, Al served as 3D Stereographer and 3D Editor many on projects including film, TV and corporate production. Clients include Oculus TV, Panasonic, Alchemy Immersive, Sony, Samsung, NVidia, Celestica, Future Media Concepts, Discovery, Canon, BGC3- Gatesnotes.com, Facebook and many others.
