The LA 3-D Club is meeting IN-PERSON in May!
The May meeting of the LA 3-D Club will take place on Thursday, May 18th from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at the Velaslavasay Panorama, 1122 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007
This year, the National Stereoscopic Association 3D-Con will be held in Buffalo, NY, and the International Stereoscopic Union World Congress will take place in Tsukuba, Japan. Registration is currently open for both events, and at the May LA 3-D Club meeting, we’ll take a look at what’s in store for those who attend, from photo excursions to workshops, exhibitions, trade fairs, and the 3-D Theater. We’ll also take a look back at some of the notable shows from last years NSA 3D-Con theater.
During the May meeting, we will be remembering long-time LA 3-D Club member George Walker, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 95. We will take a look back at some of his 3-D work, both in the Realist slide format and in lenticular prints. Members are encouraged to bring photos and stories of George to share.
The meeting will conclude with a club member “Show-and-Tell.” We would love to see your favorite 3-D images and collectibles. Members are encouraged to share an item of interest with the rest of the attendees. Share you favorite photos, videos, and 3-D items.
