3-D SPACE, The LA 3-D Club and the Downtown Independent have tentatively scheduled a special screening to celebrate the Blu-ray 3D release of METALSTORM; THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED SYN (1983) followed by a Q&A with stereoscopic imaging consultant (and LA 3-D Club member) John Rupkalvis, responsible for the Stereoscope 3-D Special Effects Optics used in the picture.
METALSTORM is a futuristic film set on a desolate war-torn earth. The story centers around a lone peacekeeping ranger who enters forbidden territory in a search for a powerful sorcerer who is inciting tribes of cyclopean warriors to holy war. Directed by Charles Band from a screenplay which he wrote with Alan J. Adler, the film was conceived as a 3-D production from the very start.
