April Meeting 4/21

The next regular meeting of the Los Angeles 3-D Club (SCSC) will be Thursday, April 21st, 2011

7:30-10pm at the Armory Center For the Arts 145 N. Raymond, Pasadena, CA 91103.

The April program includes several shows that bring us a mix of both modern and historic images.  The lineup includes:

Reflections on a Golden Age.  This shows uses vintage stereoviews to examine the beginnings of stereo photography and its use through the Victorian age.  Written and directed by Carole Reeves, produced by David Burder, and newly digitized by David Starkman and Susan Pinsky.

Masters of War.  This short program is a powerful antiwar statement, told through the use of vintage stereoviews from World War I and set to the music of Bob Dylan; it was produced by Tom Rywick.

Mathematical & Musical Structures.  This show by Jaap Zonneweld sets computer generated geometric imagery to synthesizer music of J. S. Bach.

Bloemenpolka (The Flower Polka).  This is a brief, whimsical presentation of flower photographs by Dutch stereographer Jaap van Loon.

View Magic Folio Show.  This program, produced by Barry Aldous, showcases the work of several different stereo photographers who are currently participating in the View Magic folio group in the UK.

The meeting is free, and open to the public.
