Please join the LA 3-D Club this Friday, February 15th at 7pm to see the Academy Award nominated Life of Pi (Best Picture) and Maggie Simpson in The Longest Daycare (Best Animated Short) at AMC Universal Citywalk. Life of Pi is an epic adventure of a boy stranded at sea with a tiger that is visually stunning and worth a second (or third!) viewing if you have already seen it. The critically acclaimed Maggie Simpson in The Longest Daycare finds the youngest member of the Simpsons family at odds with her nemesis at the Ayn Rand School for Tots.
Both films were planned and designed to be made in 3-D. Brian Gardner, Stereographer on Life of Pi, and Eric Kurland, Lead Stereographer on The Longest Daycare, worked closely with the films’ directors to bring their respective stories to life. They are both movies that should be seen in 3-D on the big screen!
Life of Pi and The Longest Daycare are among 11 3-D films that received a total of 23 Academy Award nominations for 2012. Come out and celebrate these deserving Oscar nominees!
