September Meeting 9/17 – Competition and Chromadepth Art

First Competition of the 2014-2015 Year

The next regular meeting of the Los Angeles 3-D Club will be Thursday, September 17th, 2015, 7:15-9:45pm at the Armory Center For the Arts 145 N. Raymond, Pasadena, CA 91103.
The evening will include the first competition of the LA 3-D Club year. The special theme for this month is REFLECTION. Club members may enter their images into the competition by using the uploader.

In addition to the competition, we will also present a special look at Chromadepth 3-D and meet several guest artists who are working in that format. Chromadepth 3-D is a stereoscopic effect based upon differences in the diffraction of color through a special prism-like holographic film fitted into glasses that give the illusion of colors taking up different positions in space, with red being in front, and blue being in back.

Dave Warner is a Mixed Media artist from Riverside CA. His work mixes photography, illustration and digital manipulation to create unique pieces of art. He has focused recently on works in Chromadepth 3-D in an attempt to explore the use of color in a three dimensional environment. www.artofdave.com
John Lucero’s work reveals an “ethereal concept” out of unlimited airy space. I feel the freedom to reach out and grasp motion, dance, mystery, and music. I strive to show three dimensions with color and comfortable repetition in Universal peace. www.loosearrow3D.com
