The next regular meeting of the Los Angeles 3-D Club (SCSC) will be Thursday, Feb. 16th, 2012
7:30-10pm at the Armory Center For the Arts 145 N. Raymond, Pasadena, CA 91103.
The February meeting features programs that range from classic, pictorial, still photographs to cutting edge, time lapse hyperstereos. Here’s what we’ll see:
Stereo Timelapse, Doggycam and Universe in a Coffee Cup. These three shows by Japanese stereographer Takashi Sekitani illustrate his unique combination of technical genius and artistic sensitivity.
My 50 Years in 3D. Al Sieg has been shooting award winning stereo photographs since the 1960’s, and this program gives us an overview of some of his best work.
A Photo-Optical Record of Physical Phenomenon Related to Time, Decay and Death. Can death and decay be beautiful? Mark Golebiowski shows us the answer is “yes” by bringing out the inner beauty of dead and dying plants.
ISU Code 8, part A. A collection of some of the best, current, 3D still photography contributed by 3D clubs from around the world.
Fresh Perspectives. Simon Bell brings us dramatic still photos of nature presented using the latest multimedia techniques in 3D.
Plus, we’ll also have a mini-workshop, conducted by Club President Eric Kurland, on how to set import and playback parameters in Stereoscopic Player.
The meeting is free, and open to the public.
