International 3D Society Names SCSC Member Ray Zone as 3D Historian

The International 3D Society (I3DS) has named SCSC member Ray Zone as the official I3DS Historian. The I3DS is a stereoscopic 3D trade organization with a membership of 500 and growing — featuring 3D luminaries such as Lenny Lipton, Rob Engle, Tim Sassoon and Buzz Hayes, to name a few. The I3DS recently held the Technical Awards Ceremony in a formal black-tie awards ceremony at the Chinese Theater where they presented the prestigious Lumiere Trophy Statuettes to the award winners. Numerous honorees were selected and acknowledged for their technical contributions to the advancement of 3D movies. Ray Zone served as one of three jurists and produced the evening’s historical video program. The I3DS awards ceremony also included the assistance of SCSC members Eric Kurland and Stephen Les.
